The doctrine of the virgin birth is of huge importance. If Jesus is not born of a virgin, then He is simply just another sinner who is a descendant of Adam like you and me. Our salvation is inextricably connected with the virgin birth.

The incarnation, or human birth of Jesus Christ, was not His beginning. Jesus Christ is Emmanuel, God with us. He is the Un-created Word Who was in the beginning with God, and was God Himself! This is what Scripture declares to be the blessed mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh.
